The purpose of the site was to expand awareness of Tenaya Lodge and the special kind of Yosemite vacation experience it offers. The target audience were those who would love to have a Yosemite National Park adventure, but are less adventurous when it comes to accommodations. The client wanted the design to be Tenaya Lodge-centric, highlighting the majesty of the park, but focused on the role the property plays in making the vacation experience better. In the design, I wanted to strike a balance between the idea of “roughing it”, and the creature comforts of a vacation with all the amenities in a true Lodge experience, authentic, comfortable and relaxed, but also refined.
